Animal ID: 1818CeCe (female)

Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

To Whom it may Concern, Please see attached photo. This is CeCe. She is 9 years old and I have owned her since she was 8 months old. I rescued her from a beagle farm in SE Arkansas. CeCe bit our 2 year old yesterday in the face. I feel as though she was acting out in pain as it seems her neck has been bothering her the past few days. She has growled at our child before over toys but this was the first time she actually bit her. We feel it is irresponsible to keep her in our home at this point for fear that this may happen again. I am desperately trying to get her placed or we will have to euthanize her within the next couple of days. I am ... (Read More)currently having to kennel her when our child is awake.%A0She really is a very sweet dog to adults and older children. She has been boarded with no reports of ill behavior or aggressiveness towards dogs at both chenal pet palace and the hounds lounge. However, she has been aggressive with a roommate's dog in the past and with my husbands dog on occasion over dropped food (Otis passed away last year). I would be reluctant to place her in a%A0home with other pets or children but she would be a great dog to a home with just adults looking for a sweet dog to cuddle with on the couch. When our child is not around, she is pretty chill and just sleeps in her dog bed. We are willing to make a pretty sizeable donation if you can take her in. we will also be willing to pay for her shots and food%A0until she is adopted.%A0Please call me if there is a place for CeCe. Rescue Me ID: 17-05-03-00170Maggie Mae (female)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis,
 Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

ADOPTABLE: FROM FOSTER MOM: I have had Maggie Mae in my home since Oct 2016, this precious girl has had a rough start to her young life of 4 years. She was abused/neglected, rescued, adopted, then her adopted Mom passed away, she was re-homed, hit by a vehicle within 24 hours of re-homing and left to suffer. Maggie Mae is a darling girl who just needs someone with patience to allow her amazing personality to shine through. She has not been human socialized a lot in her past and seems very timid of males and children (when my grandson, 3 yrs old, visits she is perfectly content to be in her kennel or my bedroom so that she feels safe and ... (Read More)secure), I wouldn't recommend a home with small/young children around constantly. She is a FANTASTIC companion, very loving and gentle. She has a foster sibling (Bug Nugget) and she has been socialized with other dogs. NO CATS, she chases them, I am uncertain if she would hurt them but I would recommend a home with no cats. She is completely house-broken, kennel trained, leash broken, uses a doggie door, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Maggie Mae takes Dog Gone Pain (OTC) for her nerve injuries from being hit by vehicle and gets along famously; some days, if weather is wanky or she plays too hard, she is slower getting up and down. She will need a fenced in yard that allows her to play yet keeps her safe from vehicles. She does chase vehicles (and squirrels) along the fence line so would always have to be able to keep her safe. She does not like the big trucks, ex: UPS, FedEX, trash trucks. She can get on/off couches/chairs just fine but needs steps to get on/off beds. If I could pick her perfect home it would be with a single, older female OR a couple that is very patient/compassionate/understanding/experienced with rescue dogs and knows how to keep HER safe when company is present, who is looking for the perfect companion that will love and protect her owner unconditionally (in the form of warning her of the presence of things out of the ordinary). If you want her to bond more with the you (humans) she would make a perfectly fine only pet; if she has at least one other canine for her to play with she will instinctively bond more with the canine. Maggie is submissive and patient with other dogs. She loves to play and to cuddle with them. She is independent, non-needy, has no separation anxiety, quiet except when new people are near or when something is out of place (a car pulls up), calm except for her typical Boxer greeting when you come home, non-digger, non-destructive, not a big fan of toys, loves to lay at doors/windows to watch the world. Maggie is SUCH a good girl who just needs someone to believe in her. If you have a soft spot in your heart for the abused/neglected, this girl will fill your heart with such joy. With a little patience and kindness this girl just flourishes and thrives. Maggie is about 55# and 23 inches @ shoulders with the goofiness of a Boxer and the nose of a Beagle. (Less)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

BUDDY Buddy has the most beautiful beagle 'rainbow of colors!' He is a very handsome 3 year old Beagle mix boy who has been living in a foster home after being found abandoned. Buddy loves to play with other dogs, running and chasing each other. Buddy is listed as a 'special needs' boy because of he is very frightened of people. He needs a quiet home where he can learn to be around people and be socialized. He would do best in a home without children, as he is very easily frightened by them. He is not aggressive nor does he try to bite - he just runs away from anyone or thing that he is afraid of. He will need a securely fenced in yard. He ... (Read More)is learning to trust people after past experiences. Buddy needs a loving home with someone who is willing to take the time to be very patient and kind to him - life has been hard enough for this little boy - a forever home where he can depend on his owner to care for him with loving kindness and patience. Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My husband picked up this abandoned dog at a truck stop. She is friendly and healthy but too energetic to fit into our lifestyle. She is long and low to the ground like a Basset Hound and weighs about 30 lbs. She plays well with larger dogs who can withstand rough-and-tumble games of tag and fetch. She is friendly to everyone and would love to play with kids but would be too rambunctious for small children. She is housebroken and crate trained. Pulls hard on the leash. Does not come when called. Knows how to sit but doesn't stay very well. I need to rehome her because she can't run free on our farm because she'll take off, and she ... (Read More)would be a danger to our cats if she got loose from the leash. I walk her daily but she needs a home where she can get lots more exercise. (Less)

HANSEL Just like the storybook character, I will follow your cookie crumbs and come right to your house! I would love to be your sweet forever beagle boy! I am Hansel, a two year old beagle who is having a wonderful time in my foster home. I'm a 'home boy' now, no longer allowed to wander for days, and so enjoying the attention I get! I am also a 'tripod' - which means I have 3 legs as one was amputated in the past. But heck, that does not stop me one little bit from running and playing and having lots of fun! Mom says I am 'one busy boy!' And - what makes me so very special is that I can SMILE - really - I can smile! My foster Mom says ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Arkansas
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Arkansas if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
