PICKLES Aren't I the most relaxed little guy you have ever seen? I am Pickles, a precious, laid back beagle /hound mix weighing about 30 pounds and born in approximately April of 2013. I was rescued by some very kind volunteers from a high kill shelter ....just in the 'nick of time!' I only had a day left before I was to be put to sleep....I was really scared. I am living in a foster home now and they say I am the 'perfect' fur baby for ANY family! I am totally housebroken and crate trained, which is very impressive and Moms love that! I have been neutered, all of my shots are current and I am on heartworm protection. They really have ... (Read More)taken wonderful, loving care of me. Did I mention that I LOVE everyone,,,,,big people, little people and everybody in between! I like other dogs, too - you can't have too many friends! I like little dogs and dogs my own size but I am afraid of the 'big giys.' I love to run and play, but in my quiet times.....I'm a snuggle bunny and sometimes even a couch potato! They told me that they are going to find me a forever family and home where I will be spoiled rotten and loved by all! Have you been looking for a fur baby for your family....one who is so ready to fill that empty spot in your heart and family? Then you have found him..a sweet, sweet boy.....Pickles! (Less)

Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We brought Ellie home from a shelter 6 years ago. We got another dog last year, and over the past few months she has become increasingly aggressive with him to the point that we have to keep them completely separated. She is a sweet dog and loves to go on walks and hikes. She is fine with older kids but tends to jump on little kids. I really need to find her a good home; right now neither dog is getting the attention they deserve because of the situation.

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I know you have never met a more grateful and happy little puppy boy in the whole world than me! I am Asher, a terrier mix (they think!), born in April, 2014. I started out my little life unwanted...so that family took my sisters and brothers to a big grocery store and gave us to anyone who would take us. Boy, that sure is not a good way to find a loving, responsible home! A family couldn't resist me and took me to their house... but they soon lost interest in me, didn't feed me and left me outside all by myself. They finally called a lady to take me...or 'else I would be dying soon.' She rushed to get me, and I was a very sad looking ... (Read More)little boy. I was covered with all kinds of fleas and ticks .... she spent hours removing them ...in my ears, between my toes, my head,my face, legs, back, tummy - I was covered and so much of my fur was missing. They were literally eating me alive. My little paws were so swollen and infected. My foster Mom cried as she tended to me.....I just laid very still but wagged my tail to let her know I appreciated her love and kindness. She gave me a warm bath after she got all of those nasty ticks off of me and then we went to the vets. I got LOTS of medicines, flea and tick preventative, antibiotics, mothers milk replacement, probiotics, Benadryl and puppy food... but I was still too sick for any shots. She rubbed my body with an all natural healing cream when we got home and then she wrapped me in a soft towel and rocked me to sleep on the front porch. She'd kiss me from time to time, telling me this is how God meant for me to be treated. I never knew that you could feel this good on both the 'inside and the outside'.... love is sure feels good. I have gained so much weight, my fur has grown back in and, boy oh boy, am I a happy, healthy little puppy boy! The vet thought I might weigh 25 lbs but they are thinking I might not get that big! I love to run and play and chase and chew on my toys....and I never want to stop, unless it is for a little nap! She has lots of dogs at her house and they all love me....even her cats love me! I am crate trained and even house trained...she said that is very important. Everyone says I am very sweet and loving....she taught me what sweet and loving means by the way she has cared for me. I follow her everywhere she goes...I'm her little shadow. I'm very smart and she is teaching me so much...I am house and crate trained and you should see me walk nicely on my leash! I have lots of toys and I love playing fetch with them. My foster Mom really loves me but she says that it is time for me to have my very own forever family.....one that will love and care for me. She is very good at finding wonderful families... and she says that my new family will absolutely treasure me! Are you my new forever family? Beagle    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Newman and Jeri were found several months ago running down HWY 5. They are amazing dogs, and I thought we would find their owners for sure. Since we could not, I have had them spayed and neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm tested (both negative). They have amazing personalities, and get along with everyone they encounter. They would like to go to a home together, but if they need to be separated, Newman would like to be with other dogs. Jeri gets along with other animals, but would be just as happy on her own with a loving owner.

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

GIZMO Getting ready, get set - here I am - READY for my new forever and ever home with my very own people and family! I am Gizmo and I am about the cutest little beagle puppy boy you have ever seen! I have the all the pretty rainbow beagle colors - tan, black and white. And my fur....as smooth and soft as butter! I was born in March of 2014. I have been living with my foster family, and boy oh boy, they really know how to train little puppies! My manners are fabulous...I am house broken, crate trained, I know how to sit on command and I walk on my leash 2 miles a day with my Mom! Even though I love to go on walks and be outdoors, I ... (Read More)certainly don't want to live outdoors....I love being in the house with my people! I love to go on car rides, too. Even though I am young, I have perfect manners...Mom did all of the work for you! She says all my new family needs to do is love and play with me! I love my toys and I only chew on them....not on shoes or furniture. They say when I am not playing, that I am very calm. Did I mention I LOVE people....big ones and little ones. I really have great manners! My life was not always this wonderful. You see, a good Samaritan was following a car one day, when all of a sudden, they saw someone roll the car window down and throw me out...just like I was trash. Boy, I was just a tiny little guy at the time....about 7 weeks old. Thankfully, I was not hurt and they quickly rescued me before the cars on that busy road ran over me. They took me to the Humane Society where my foster mom volunteers. She was so sad to think of how I was treated that she took me home and loved me. Now it is time for me to go to my forever family and my Mom says they will be just as loving and kind as she is! I am just perfect... all the work has been done to train me and I'm ready to go with all my shots and everything! I'm not going to grow to be too big.... I weigh about 25 pounds now...so I'm just the right size for your lap and your heart! They say I am cute as a button and I can amuse myself all day playing with my toys. But when I come to your house....I'll play with YOU all day and maybe take a nap in your lap when I get tired. I'm Gizmo....such a soft and cuddly little puppy boy...just waiting for you. (Less)

His southern belle was keeping him company, but she has been adopted which has left Bogie looking for love. PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Arkansas
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Arkansas if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
