Gracie is 6 yrs old and has never had any puppies.She gets along with most dogs. She has a silly personality.She loves to play and will chase the laser light until she is wore out ! She is an inside dog.She has never had to stay outside 24/7.She is a couch sleeper or on her own bed in our bedroom. She will come and let you know she needs to go outside to potty.Completely house broke. We have another female dog that is spayed and they get along great ! She likes kids ! Not aggressive at all. I adopted Gracie from a breeder who is a friend when she was just 8-9 weeks old in Febuary 2006. She is very loving and loves to play and cuddle. She loves the red laser light and will chase it for ever ! She has a funny personality and very smart probably to smart for her own good. She is house trained and will let you know when she has to go out. Ask her if she needs to go out and she will start prancing around until she is let out. Gracie has her own doggie bed and sleeps on the floor next to our be and when is bed time all you have to do is tell her its bed time and she will go right to her bed. Shy is 4 years old. She was a breeder dog. Quite shy and timid. The reason I say human compatibility unknown is that she hasn't been kid tested. We can do that, no problem. Will also cat test. These girls were abandoned down a dirt road and they house they came up to can not keep them, I'm afraid they are going to be euthanized soon. If you can take them in, adopt them, save them, I'll help get them fixed, they look healthy, young, but if someone doesn't save them, they will be just another statistic of dumped then euthanized dogs. We had a very sweet dog walk up to our home in Pulaski Heights, in Little Rock, Monday. He looks like he has been out on his own for a while. We were wondering if you have space for him in any capacity or any home in which to place him? Attached are several pictures of him. He seems to be a hound mix, 3 or 4 years old. J.J. is a 2 yr old lovable beagle that needs room to run and play. He is good with other dogs and with cats. He likes to play with chew toys and play catch. He loves attention and car rides. He is house broken and kennel trained. He would be a good pet for a family with older kids (because even though he wouldn't harm a toddler or baby he could knock them over on accident in his excitment) and a fenced in yard. He showed up as a stray, neutered with his tail bobbed. We think he was possibly dumped. He has been posted to Arkansas Lost and Found Pet Network as a found dog and no one claimed him. He is a wonderfully sweet dog. Still young and very healthy. We already have 2 other dogs and are looking for a good home to place him in, we love him to death but we already have our hands full. He is a little skiddish around men, not an aggressive bone in his body. I believe he has had a bad experience with a previous male owner. He LOVES women and children. This is one cute puppy....with his dark chocolate markings, he is eye candy, for sure. Caddo is a very nice beagle/hound mix pup found on a rural road in Arkansas. He was so happy to be rescued and hasn't stopped smiling since his rescue day. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and is doing great with his leash and crate training. Caddo is definitely a pup that would thrive in a home with children or in a home with a runner where he could get the exercise his breed requires. This is a nice little dog. Spots is a sweet and loving Boston Terrier mix that was rescued from a neglect situation in Arkansas. She is having such a great time in her foster home where she is learning what it is like to be loved and cherished. The vet estimates that Spots is about 5 year old. Spots would do well as the only dog or in a home where there are several dogs. She is easy-going and easy to please. She is going to make a very nice pet for the family lucky enough to adopt her. This little Beagle/Basset was found near our vehicle @ work 8-20-11. She is very sweet. She is underweight and missing some hair. Their doesn't seem to be any skin conditions other malnutrition. She appears not to be spayed, possibly had a litter in the past. I believe she is under 2 years old. She has been fed, wormed, given a bath. I can send food with her to her new home. | PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Arkansas | |||||||||
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Arkansas if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
