Rescue Me ID: 16-02-06-00202Paris-ADOPTION PENDING (female)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. Paris is the kind of baby who snuggles in, loves you up and then puts her tiny head on your shoulder. She's so new and fresh with every possibility open to her. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Paris and her 6 siblings...she could see that all their temperaments were so sweet and loving that she couldn't allow any of them to be euthanized. Paris was immediately brought to be vetted and then to a great Houston foster home to receive pure ... (Read More)love and begin her education. It turns out that Paris, (rescued at just 3 weeks old weighing 2 lbs. She is now 8 weeks old and approximately 4 lbs) is expected to be approximately 15 - 20 lbs when full-grown. Paris is very sweet and so engaging that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for her foster mom. Vail is cute as a button and so silly. She is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her. Paris is a gorgeous Border Terrier/Beagle mix puppy (according to the shelter and Houston vets) with the cutest face ever. She's just beginning to get a cotton-soft coat that speaks of good health. Paris's playful and silly demeanor is just who she is.. and then she passes out on a pillow for a long snooze. She just appears to be more entertaining than your average puppy. If she is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Paris will become a well-adjusted adult dog who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this very smart and cuddly girl. We also feel it's very important that she is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. Puppy socialization classes followed by positive reinforcement obedience group classes will make this puppy a well-behaved adult dog. We'd like her future to hold walks along Colorado paths and sunshine on her scruffy adorable face. We're searching for a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Paris can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere. Paris will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to her very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to her spay, microchip and any additional puppy shots she might require if our Denver vet is used. Paris will be growing in a silky-soft post-shelter coat. Sudsy baths and frequent brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy and shiny- soft. Paris is getting cuddled at a Denver area foster home. We're currently accepting applications for this cuddly and loving puppy.. If interested in this fun-loving and sweet puppy who will grow into a true best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730. Animal ID: 9853Hector (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hector is a Beagle / Basset Hound mixed breed, approximately 9 years old. He loves to go on walks, is perfectly housetrained, loves other dogs and is very cuddly. Need some easy going love in your life? Hector is the answer! Hector is in foster care. He recently had a dental. Here's what his foster family has to say: Hector is recovering well from his dental work and he has been on some walks since. So far, we max him out at around 1.5 miles in a single walk. He loves walking a lot. As a matter of fact, we took the dogs out for a little jaunt and he was howling with excitement when we got to the parking lot. He knew he was going to ... (Read More)get out on a trail so we have since returned there and he loves it just as much as the other dogs'|.if not more. And he really enjoys car rides. He is definitely the type of dog you can take everywhere. He would even be great for a contractor who travels to job sites because Hector is an excellent traveling companion. I also think he is the kind of dog you can take with you to dinner in the summer and eat on the patio with him by your side. He is pretty much the most perfect dog. He looks great too! He almost looks like a puppy at times. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-26-00653Ollie (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ollie is approximately 1 year old mix of Jack Russell and Beagle. He weighs about 17 lbs and is absolutely adorable. He is full of spirit, plays really well with other dogs (loves big dogs!) and is lovable with people. He will run right up and give anyone wags, kisses and loads of Ollie love. He is a very high energy dog so would do best to be in a house with kids and/or other youngish dogs and a fenced yard or lots of room to play. He prefers not to be alone, but does well in a crate. At daycare, he uses a dog door and does very well. He is working on potty training. He loves chewing on bones and playing with toys. Fetch is one of his ... (Read More)favorites. Ollie can be a bit stubborn with training but with patience and coaxing will do just fine. He is intelligent which is good but he does know what he wants. When he is at doggy daycare or at the dog park, there isn't a time when others don't make lots of comments on how cute and funny he is. Ollie does demand quite a bit of attention and lots of snuggle time. He is currently living in Highlands Ranch and is ready to find new mates to play with. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-07-00287Montana (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

There's nothing quite like young energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm puppy breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think that they're homeless in rural Texas. A kind rescuer temporarily took Montana in to prevent him from the horrors of a high-kill shelter...and then realized that her landlord wasn't on board. Off Montana went again to what this rescuer thought was the only possibility in this rural area...the shelter. Our rescuer, recognizing the wonderful personality and very sweet temperament of the puppy that had just been relinquished, contacted Farfel's ... (Read More)Rescue. Farfel's was told about the great personality and over- the- top cuteness of this special puppy and made the decision to help Montana find his first- ever forever family. Montana absolutely deserves a great home and loving guardian just as much as any other sweet puppy with a great temperament. Montana, at just about 14 weeks old and 9 lbs (anticipated to be about 35 lbs when full grown), was facing the possible end of his life just as it was beginning. ...he was rescued just in the nick of time. This sweet and engaging German Shepherd/Beagle mix (an up and coming breed mix that's loved for their beauty, intelligence and engaging personalities) is starting out with great energy...the excellent results of his temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a new life. Montana is appropriately playful and inquisitive for his young age. He's so smart and very engaging...so typical of both if his breeds. He's also bright and very loving (loves to cuddle in your lap-but watch out..puppy energy may call). Montana clearly has no memory of his scary early life. Since Montana is such a young puppy, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome companion. Montana will form firm bonds with his family (as well as other dogs and humans) and learn positive socialization skills through being exposed to many different situations out in the world. Puppy kindergarten and positive reinforcement group obedience classes will teach Montana the skills to be a great adult dog. It does take a bit of time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the outside world with appropriate behavior. We're open to Montana finding his forever home with active retirees or a family (with gentle kids) who have lots of energy to train and enjoy a young dog. Montana is known to do very well with children (but has never been formally temperament tested) and other playful yet gentle dogs are very fun for Montana. Montana is up to date on his vetting, but has yet to be neutered. We're hoping that he will be fixed in Texas, however a puppy like Montana is often deemed too young to fix. If this is the case, Farfel's will cover all costs for him to be neutered and micro chipped at our vet in Denver to be in line with our commitment to be a part of the solution to pet overpopulation. Montana is snuggling in a Boulder foster home. Beagle    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Lovable boy, clean, friendly, mostly house broken, happy, healthy. He is loving, but a real Beagle: strong-willed, nose to the ground, and insistent about following a scent. And always ready to eat. I inherited this puppy when I took my son to live with me. I am not a dog person, and am not adjusting well to the responsibilities, and my son is not helping take care of him.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Colorado
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
