Beagle Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

He would make a great companion animal for someone who has plenty of time to walk and cuddle. His separation anxiety is the sole reason for his surrender. If living with other animals, he should be cared for by an experienced adopter. Stats: He is 9 years old. Loves car rides, walks, cuddles. Dislikes children (this is why I began caring for him in the first place). Does OK with some dogs and cats, but has food aggression and should be supervised with meals, treats. Housebroken. Vaccinated. Neutered. Healthy except for anxiety.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in D.C.
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in D.C. if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
