Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This young man is such a clown. He is all about having fun. He loves kids, balls, toys, teddy bears, and mouse hunting. He loves the water so a beach or a pool would be super awesome. :) He loves having regular meals. He doesn't ever have to wonder when his next dinner time will be. He was so thin when he came in and seemed so sad. Now he is a happy, playful, healthy boy. He has been great with the other dogs and would like a canine companion. We are working on potty training and he is learning. It will just take some patience. He does know how to use a doggie door so that makes training pretty easy. He wants to please ... Rescue Me ID: 15-04-06-00170Turner (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered

Turner is a 4 year old Shepherd/Beagle mix who recently came to the shelter with his BFF Hooch. Turner, the more out going of the two, is the first to whine when they are separated. Still somewhat timid, Turner wants to interact with humans but it appears he is lacking skills in that area. He does enjoy getting out and about, rough and tumble play, a good treat and, of course, hanging out with Hooch. He is not house or kennel trained and will need a experienced pack leader with adequate time to help him become a successful family member. To meet Turner (and Hooch), stop by the rescue during business hours, 11 am - 4 pm daily. Please contact ... (Read More)the rescue regarding Turner's adoption fee. (Less)

Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Elly is an excellent dog! The only reason we need to rehome her is because our son has a severe allergy to her. She is great with small children and other dogs. She does tricks and loves walks. She is low energy, does get excited when you come home. Not a huge barker.

Animal ID: 15-02-28-00397Bandit (male)

Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bandit was with an older couple for most of his life and so when we got him he was overweight and very anxious. We added a third dog and that is when it became clear he needed a single dog home. He loves attention and one on one time. He absolutely knows when feeding time is and when he gets to go for a walk. He is not good with younger kids but does well with pre-teen and older. He does have a little anxiety when he is left alone for too long but he is super sweet.

Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Biscuit is looking for a new home again. He is a very sweet and snuggly Beagle. Biscuit is about 7 years old and he loves to burrow under the blankets and be your personal foot warmer. Biscuit loves people and is so happy to be loved and greet people young and old. Although Biscuit lived with other dogs growing up, he has become more possessive of his toys and treats with the other dog in the house and we are recommending Biscuit be an only pet. He is fine meeting other dogs out on a walk or in Petco but he would like to keep his house to himself. Like most hounds, Biscuit needs a securely fenced yard to keep his Beagle nose contained. ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Idaho
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
