Beagle Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bogger is a very handsome, gentle and mild-mannered senior Lab mix in need of a loving forever home. He can be a little timid in new places and with new people but warms up quickly. He was originally rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky. We here at Pal's Place have a soft spot for seniors and we couldn't bear the thought of letting this sweet boy spend his last days alone in a cold concrete kennel. We brought him up to our rescue in Chicago and now he's in a loving and nurturing foster home but he'd love to meet his forever family soon. This older gentleman wants nothing more than some gentle pats on the head and ... (Read More)a nice soft bed to snuggle on. He's looking for a nice retirement home to spend his golden years in, could it be yours? Bogger is quiet and well behaved in the home and is crate trained. We are estimating him to be around 10 years old. He was just recently neutered and had a dental cleaning. He's also up to date on vaccines and heartworm tested (-) and is on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. He's ready to go home today!     Robin is a handsome, nervous, yet loving, six-year-old, 41-pound chubby male Beagle/Corgi-mix looking for a loving guardian. Robin is a very loving one-person kind of guy. When Robin is nervous he sometimes snaps '| he nipped someone at the shelter and then again at the vet's office. So, he's looking for someone who can keep him safe from his impulses and out of trouble. Robin is very playful, but can be dominant with other dogs. He's housebroken and well-behaved in the home. Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* How you doin'? Are you looking for a delightfully happy new friend with movie-star good looks to match my awesome personality? My name is Clooney, and I am a 6-year-old Puggle mix (that means pug/beagle for the newbies!) I am about about 20 pounds of friendly fun and devotion, and always wear my handsome grin to let you know just how happy I am! My chocolate brown eyes are perfect for staring at you lovingly as you rub my back and tell me what a good boy I am. Best of all? I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails ... (Read More)Foundation, so you have a chance to be the forever family I have been waiting for! My Fetching Tails friend saved me from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where I was brought as a stray. As soon as they saw me begging for attention in my kennel, they said it was love at first sight and they couldn't leave me behind! I am so grateful that they saved my life, and I have been having the best time ever in my foster home. It is so wonderful to feel safe and loved for the first time in a long while. I get along well with every human I have met so far, and even like to play with other doggies, such as my fellow FTF friend Chucky. It is so much fun to play chase and play-wrestle! I love to play, play, play and would enjoy a forever home where I have the space to do 'zoomies' (that is a technical term for run around as fast as I can) so maybe a fenced yard would be nice? When it is time to settle down, I just adore laying next to my favorite people and getting a nice massage while we chat about all the fun we have had together. I have pretty good house manners, and am working on improving them every day. I like to be your little shadow when you are home, but do fine resting in my crate when you have to leave the house for work or errands. I am a little curious (it's the typical beagle in me!), so continued guidance about what I am and am not allowed to snoop around will help me be the ideal roommate. More than anything, I will do amazing with a forever family that loves to play with me and is ready to enjoy a fun life! If you think I could be your new BFF, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon and tell them Clooney is the handsome fella for you! Puggle kisses and cuddles, Clooney If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us at Info@fetchingtailsfoundation.org Adoption Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease) Have a valid ID with current address Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment Lives in 50 mile radius of Itasca within the Illinois border Adoption Fees: Senior dog - 8 years and up, $75 Adult or young dog - 6 months to 7 years, $250 Puppies - under 6 months, $350 (Less)

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'she is a super cuddle bug. She loves sleeping under the covers and in your leg nook. She gets a long with the other dogs well. She is pretty potty trained, if taken out enough. Her down side is she's a bit of a beggar for food and you gotta watch your food around her because she'll jump at any opportunity. She loves her 'owner' very much. She walks pretty well on a leash. I would def recommend a harness. She comes in a harness and small leash. She is up to date on shots until April, spayed and microchipped and has proof of rabies tag

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Can't get any cuter than this little guy, Greggy has the most adorable little face, long body, stubby legs and great big black spots! He is a happy and vibrant puppy, always on the go and very much enjoying the other playful dogs in his foster home. He was a bit too rambunctious at the shelter but who can blame him. he had a ton of pent up energy that he needed to bust a move on. He was adopted for a month by a family that adored him but Greggy started being aggressive with the 4 year old.     (READ THROUGH THE END!) ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES WILL BE REVIEWED. %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD ADOPT ME%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BDSay Hi to our main man Murph (Murphy)! He is a beagle mix who loves down blankets, belly rubs, hot dogs, cuddling, hiding bones, and all things meaty. Murphy also enjoys long walks with his human friends and luckily is great on a leash to boot! He does need very slow intros with new people/dogs, but we have found if you just ignore him and let him come to you at his own pace, he does amazing! Murphy has been around kids aged 3-6 and did great with proper and slow introductions pending the ... (Read More)children's energy level - loved all the calm attention they were willing to give him (see pic!) . He also takes treats very gently, as long as they are meaty ;-) and knows 'paw' and 'sit'. Murphy has a calm demeanor as he's an adult dog and would do best in a relaxed and low key home. He is GREAT with cats too! His favorite days are filled with looking out the windows, cuddling up next to you on the couch or long walks while taking in the scenery that he had missed for so long, while sitting at the shelter. Murph lives to cuddle, consider making it your lap he cuddles in and give this great boy his forever home, he has lots of love to give. Murphy is currently in an amazing foster home but looking for forever - he needs a permanent home. If your home is adults only, or you have very few children that are calm and respectful of fearful animals and their space, please email me at Nspelman3@gmail.com. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. If you have frequent visitors and many young/rambunctious children, you will not be considered. Murphy is the most loyal and devoted dog that I have ever met, once he is yours, HE IS YOURS and will love you every minute of the day. Murphy is very leery of strangers - he will not attack strangers but if you have company, ask them to ignore Murphy - he will approach the guests when he feels comfortable in doing so. Again he does not attack. He will growl if approached too soon otherwise, leave him be and he will come around to greet the visitors. He is truly a great best friend, just a special guy who needs a quiet and calm home with an understanding family. He was 'surrendered' by his previous 'family' due to his leeriness around strangers. He simply needs to do things at his own pace, and why children aren't the best fit for Murphy. Grandkids, few visiting children, no problem - so long as they can respect his personality and boundaries. PLEASE REACH OUT IF MURPHY SOUNDS LIKE YOUR KIND OF FURBABY. He has a HUGE heart and just oozes love with his trusted humans! (Less)

Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Aaaaa-woooo! That is beagle-speak for HELLO! My name is Steinbeck and I am a 5-year-old beagle/basset mix. If you are looking for a devoted, lovable, huggable companion, it is your lucky day because I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation. I am a super handsome tri-color (white, tan, black) fellow, and like the stories by the author after whom I am named, I am loaded with heartwarming character: I am funny, loving, entertaining, and if you give me the forever home I long for, I will never ever leave your ... (Read More)side! My Fetching Tails friends saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control in August, where my previous owner left me when they could no longer take care of me. I needed quite a bit of TLC when my foster mom brought me home; I was very overweight and had a fully ruptured ACL in my left hind leg. But my foster family has been taking great care of me: thanks to a healthy diet, I have lost almost 15 pounds (I weigh about 40 now...foster mom thinks I could still lose a couple more pounds, but I am on the right track!) I also had surgery to repair my leg in October. It has been quite a journey complete with lots of bed rest, but I am getting around very well now and my leg feels SO much better! I feel like a new dog, and now I am ready to continue my adventure and find my forever family! I am a happy-go-lucky guy, and like many hounds, I love to spend time in the great outdoors sniffing all the lovely smells. I would love a fenced yard at my forever home so I can enjoy exploring and sunbathing. I also get along well with other dogs; I have a beagle, a doxie, and a 'mystery mix' as my BFFs at my foster home. I am playful, but have had to sit back and watch them run around while my leg heals; thankfully they also like long cuddle sessions so we have had a good time sharing my doggie bed. If you have a dog for me to be friends with, I think that would be so much fun! I think I would do best with older kids, and I would also do best in a forever home without cats. More than anything, I would love for my humans to be home more often than not because I simply love being around my people. It makes me so happy to lay near you, receiving belly rubs and head massages. My foster family tells me I am a well-behaved boy, as well. I am potty trained, and don't chew things I'm not supposed to in the house. I have a couple favorite toys I enjoy, and if you have to go out to run errands, I will settle down on my dog bed and wait for you to return. I do think I would do best in a single-family home instead of a townhouse or condo; I am what my foster mommy calls a 'storyteller' and I like to beagle bark to tell you all about my day, so it would be a good idea if we didn't share a wall with a neighbor who might not like my talking skills. I also think it would be nice if I didn't have to navigate too many stairs in the immediate future; I am still working on strengthening my leg so stairs are still a bit of a challenge for me. My fosters can fill you in with more details about my progress and how to make sure my leg continues healing properly! If you are looking for a dog who will be happy to be by your side through all of life's adventures, I am the handsome, attentive, LOVING boy for you! If you would like to arrange a meet-and-greet with me, please fill out an application and get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon! As much as I love my foster home, I am ready to start my 'happily ever after' story with my forever family! Love and cuddles, Steinbeck If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org/adopt or if any questions please email us! Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Callee is an affectionate, silly girl full of love!! Upon first meeting, she may be shy, but given some time and love, she will come running right into your arms! Her energy level varies from average to high. She loves to snuggle and enjoys playing with her foster brother. She may be tiny, but she is tough! She is able to keep up with his quick running and wrestling. Callee has mastered some basic commands such as sit, (lay) down, and come when called. She has even completed a training class complete with certificate! Her leash walking skills have improved tremendously, although it is highly recommended to walk Callee on a harness. ... (Read More)Callee has slept in a crate, but much prefers to be out of the crate. She gets anxious when being in a crate for long periods of time. Callee was crated during the day, but has graduated to being gated in a room when home alone. Calle would do fine in a home as an only dog or a home with another small dog. When out in public, Callee becomes very timid around other dogs, especially the bigger dogs. Callee needs a slow introduction to new dogs and a fair amount of time to adjust. She has not had much exposure to her feline friends, but when she has been around them, she let them go about their business and just watched them. A tall fenced in yard is best for Callee as she has a high prey drive and would not do well on a tie-out. She has been able to clear a 5 foot gate. When Callee gets overly excited, she can jump and be mouthy. For this reason, it would be recommended that Callee goes into a home without young children. If you are interested in meeting Callee, please go to our website www.alwaysroom4morepaws.com to learn about our adoption process and fill out an application. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Illinois
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
