D'ogie has been with us since he was 6 wks old. He is getting older and does no longer tolerate our toddler very well. He does well with our older kids who are 6 and 12 . He is a very friendly dog well house broken and trained. We would like to rehome him with someone who does not have young kids around. He is in very good health and current on all shots til sept. 2015. It breaks our heart to have to rehome him but he needs a great home.also he is an indoor dog he has always been inside we have a fenced in yard with lots of room for him to run . So we want him to stay an inside dog. He is trained not to beg or take food from anyone unless he ... (Read More)is told to do so. He has a dog bed and things we would like to give to the new owners. PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Iowa
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
