Rescue Me ID: 16-06-05-00514Bravo (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bravo is a sweet and shy Beagle mix who is 2 years old. He weighs about 35 pounds. Bravo walks well on a leash. He is shy, so he walks a step or two behind you. He is very loving and sleeps in bed with his foster mom. He is very well behaved when left home alone, so crating is not necessary. Bravo is a gentle soul who is looking for a home that will build his confidence and show him the joys of being a treasured family member. Bravo came from a hoarder home and lived with at least 20 other dogs and very little human contact. Bravo may take some time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts, he will bond quickly to those who are ... (Read More)patient and loving. Bravo has grown leaps and bounds and loves to explore, roll in the grass, is learning about toys and enjoys a good belly rub. Bravo's forever home should have another dog and a fenced yard. Bravo loves to run and feel the wind. He is still learning about fetch, but hopefully that will come with time. He would not enjoy a home with small children. Little ones with high pitched voices and sudden movements would scare him. Bravo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is not quite fully house trained so will continue to need training and guidance in that area. For more information about Bravo you can contact Roxanne at rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-01-00264Juliett (female)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Juliett is a 2 year old, sweet natured Beagle mix girl who weighs 26 pounds. She is a happy, playful girl who gets along well with all other animals. Juliett enjoys playing with other dogs, her toys, and cuddling with her person. Juliett came into rescue from a home with at least 20 other dogs and had never received any attention from people. Because of that past she trusts women faster than men. With time and patience she will trust men. Her forever home should have at least one other dog and a fenced yard for her to play safely. She would not enjoy a home with small children. Toddlers with high pitched voices and sudden movements would ... (Read More)scare her. Juliett can be shy with men at first but with time and patience will be just as loving to them as with women. She is doing really well on a leash considering she had never seen one before arriving at her foster home. Juliett is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She does not like or need to be crated. Juliett snuggles in her soft bed and waits for her people to come back. For more information about Juliett you can contact Roxanne at rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Iowa
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
