Looking for an easy dog to fit into your home? Then take a look at Bonnie. Bonnie is a 7 year old Beagle who weighs 23 pounds. We rescued her from a local shelter where she ended up after being picked up as a stray. Bonnie is a typical happy Beagle girl. She likes to be with other dogs and would love a home with a playmate. She is a quick learner especially when she has another dog to follow. She is reliably housetrained and has been well trained. She knows sit, lay, shake and sit pretty. Bonnie is a smart girl and learns quickly so she could be trained to do even more tricks. She is good with new people and quickly makes friends ... (Read More)with humans and other dogs. She walks well on a leash. We know many people shy away from beagles thinking they are major barkers. Bonnie is not that dog. She does bark when there is a reason, but she will not bark non-stop when you are away. She is just a really good dog that would be a great addition to almost any family. Bonnie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm tested and microchipped. She is all set to find her forever home and settle in. It won't take long for her to win her way into your heart. If you would like to meet Bonnie, please begin our adoption process by completing our adoption application that can be found on our website at www.furfunrescue.org. PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Iowa
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
