|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-27-00409Phoebe (female)|
Phoebe was born in October 2014 and is a fun loving young dog! She was found as a stray by a caring individual who noticed that her right elbow didn't 'look right'. We are having her evaluated by a specialist and she may need surgery to correct the elbow. We have determined that she has a food allergy and currently have her on a grain free diet. Phoebe loves everyone she meets and weighs about 20 pounds and is so much fun to have around.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-21-00162Belle (female)|
Belle is a 35 pound senior Blue Heeler / Beagle mix. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and really loves attention from people. Belle is a quiet girl, if she barks there is a reason. She likes to walk and is great on a leash. Her favorite spot is wherever her people are. Belle came into rescue as a stray who had been hit and rolled by a car on the highway. She was in sad shape and very hungry. It's was obvious she had been fending for herself for quite a while. Belle was very sore and had soft tissue bruising. With care and regular meals she recovered quickly. The whole time Belle was recovering from her injuries she was sweet and grateful. She knew we were trying to help her. She shows her gratitude every day with her tail wags and kisses. Belle is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped and just had her teeth cleaned. If you would like to meet Belle please start the adoption process by completing the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. For more information about Belle you can contact Roxanne at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters within two hour's drive of Cedar Rapids, Iowa only. Indoor homes only. Adoption donation $150. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-24-00799Buddy (male)|
Buddy is an 8 year old Beagle who is looking for a new start. Buddy came to us with some medical needs and has been in foster care for a while. Buddy has Cushings Disease which means he will need medication for the rest of his life. Cushings Disease means that he has a growth on his pituitary gland that causes his adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol. His Cushings is under control with the medication he is on and as long as he stays on the medication he should live a normal life. Buddy is a normal beagle who is happy and friendly to everyone. He is on a bit of a diet to lose some extra weight that his Cushings helped him gain. So far he has lost 4 pounds but we would like to see him lose a little more. He has good energy and likes to be active now. Buddy if good with all other dogs. He may not be good with cats, he seems to want to chase them. Buddy likes all people and is described as easy going, sweet and friendly. He is great with children and acts very playful around them. Buddy is very easy to groom because he doesn't care about getting wet in a bath or even getting his nails trimmed. Whatever you want to do is probably fine with Buddy. He will just be your little buddy throughout your day. Buddy is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. He also recently had his teeth cleaned. Buddy is housetrained, crate trained and very adaptable. If you would like more information about Buddy, please contact email@example.com or call 319-929-6657. To start the adoption process, please complete our adoption application that can be found at www.furfunrescue.org Adopters within an hour of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Indoor homes only. |Rescue Me ID: 15-08-28-00680Tucker (male)|
Tucker is approximately 2 years old and is looking for a home with older kids or no kids. He needs a dominant person to set the rules and doesn't like to kennel at all due to a bad past experience with them. He is house trained, but is a little food aggressive, so will need to be fed separate. He likes to get his exercise and we think being a routine would be best. If you think you have a great home for Tucker, you can apply for him at www.adoptdiamonds.org

Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
