Biscuit was evicted from his home when his owner didn't pay the rent. She could not take any of the dogs with her and left them at the trailer. A friend was able to take an older dog, but Biscuit was left behind. He is a little afraid of people he doesn't know, but is friendly and loving once he gets to know you. Appears to prefer women over men. He would have to be carefully introduced to new dogs as he has not met a lot of dogs. Biscuit is scared in the shelter. New home wanted for my Beagle named Rowdy. He is a 4 year old male. He has all his shots and is neutered. He is a loving animal but needs more attention than I can give. He can do all the normal dog stuff like sit and shake. He also trained on an underground fence. He is not a hunting dog. I will be moving this summer and I want to find a good home now. I ask for a small re-home fee to ensure he goes to a good family. I will give a bag of some dogfood, bowls and his collar and leash (non electric). Ziggy is a very lovable little boy. Would prefer him to go to a home where he can sleep and be lazy in a fenced in yard (he will take off) as he has never been trained to hunt and is getting up in years. All he wants is to give and receive the love he deserves. Has a large scar on his back from accident unknown. Fur covers most of it. Gets along great with other dogs and cats, but never been around children to know how he'd react to them. My husband found this little guy about 6 weeks ago. He was dumped out of a car right in front of him! We brought him home so that he did not become another statistic. He has been seen by a vet and given a rabies vaccine, but nothing else. He does not have a micro chip. In our opinion, he was mistreated in his previous home. He strongly dislikes loud noises and is not really fond of children (we think because they are loud). He has shown slight aggression toward my 9yr old daughter. He will occasionally growl and lunge at her. He has had no issues with my other 2 older children. Jefferson County Louisville, KY MAP IT!

I do not know how to post pictures - new to computers, but she is white with brown head and ears. She also has other very small dots of color on her back. The colors of most of these dogs. She really is quite beautiful. She is 2 years old. High energy. We are both in our 60's and she is too much for us to handle now. She is completely house trained - will bark to let you know she has to go out. Great with all people and dogs. She does jump - like all Jack Russell's do. Great temperament and loveable. We just cannot keep her any longer due to health concerns. She jumps and we are afraid that she will make my husband fall. Due to ... | PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Kentucky | |||||||||
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
