Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Arrow was born sometime in March of 2014 and is a beautiful young dog. He was in a starved condition when rescued but we expect him to be medium sized when he fills out and finishes growing. Arrow is very friendly, loves other dogs and people. We think he would make a great family dog. He seems intelligent and learned quickly how to walk on a leash. He is a calm, laid back kind of puppy, accepts a kennel readily and loves his yard. Arrow is currently being fostered by Mary who can be contacted at (318) 663-8426 if you have any questions or you can submit an application at our website, natchitocheshumane.com.

Zeke is male tricolor Beagle with born about 1/2012. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and heartworm negative. Zeke is good with other dogs, cats and would probably do well with kids. Jeb and Zeke were living at an abandoned water well; it was apparent they had been on their on own for a bit. A volunteer saw Jeb running down the road and followed him back to the well where she saw Zeke as well. After a week of feeding the boys the volunteer was able to gain Zeke's trust and pet him and catch him; Jeb had to be trapped as he was unsure of what our volunteer wanted to do. They wish for a forever home where they will never have to ... (Read More)fight off predators, go hungry, or be cold and wet again. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Louisiana
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
