Bonnie came to Logan's Run with her son, Bo, after they had been hit by a car. Both dogs suffered a broken leg. Logan's Run paid for their vet expenses and placed them with the people who found them to recover. During the healing process, they were tested for HW and both were positive. After a year of recovery from their injuries and the slow kill HW method, Bo was able to be transported with a clean bill of health....but not little Bonnie! She still tested positive for HW. When Bo left his fosters for transport the next day, Bonnie was attacked by several of the dogs at the foster's home and received some nasty dog bites. Without Bo to ... At that time, Bonnie was moved to another foster home where she could live without harm and receive the love and attention she deserves. Her new fosters have taken wonderful care of her, but she still remains a high HW positive and has just recently been given the fast kill method. Bonnie is about 2 1/2 years old and has been part of our rescue since Feb 2011. Through all of this Bonnie has remained kind, sweet and compliant. She has thrived with her fosters, but she needs to find a forever home with someone who will continue to love and appreciate her. She is truly a special girl! Beagle Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
