Rescue Me ID: 17-03-16-00479Oscar (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Oscar is an approximately 3-year-old Beagle/Chihuahua mix. He is a goofy little man. He is very playful and affectionate. Oscar loves to play ball, but also to snuggle. He didn't seem to like men at his first foster home but probably just needs some patience and understanding to learn to trust again. We do not know how he is with cats or small children. Oscar is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. He is located in Portland, OR. Please contact us if you are interested in adopting, or even fostering, one of our dogs. We are a federal non-profit rescue. We do require a completed application and a home visit prior to ... (Read More)adopting. Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Maggie is a sweetheart, very relaxed not a barker, smart, she lives in a home with cat and bird but would rather be the only pet so she can have all the attention. please no small children, older child would be great or adult only. Reason I'm giving her up is because we are gone a lot and she can't always go. She needs someone that can give her the attention she needs. The important thing is she goes to the right home.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Oregon
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
