Rescue Me ID: 15-04-25-00447Cooper (male)

Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered

Cooper is a great dog, but now that my family has two little kids we don't have the time to take him on walks. He is very well trained, but has been known to dig under the fence to escape and get some energy out. This is a new problem for us, but we feel that it is a result of him not getting enough exercise.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Oregon
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
