Pavlov is bound to win your affection within the first few minutes of meeting him! He became a part of SNIPSA after we saw a plea on Facebook begging for a rescue.. we couldn't resist! This little guy is incredibly gentle, and really just wants to be your best friend. He quietly walks around behind you, and will curl up wherever you are. When he came to see us in the office, he visited our friends next door and quickly made himself right at home and curled up with our friend Annie on her desk. He just wants to be close to you! Binka was surrendered by a good Samaritan that is moving. We intercepted a plea as an owner surrender to ACS. Binka was born at this same household - all she knew was her mom and this family. So it was up to SNIPSA to introduce her to the world. She is in 'bootcamp' for meeting new folks, and experiences began for her. When Binka first arrived, she sat very hesitantly in the back of the kennel- unsure about leaving. She knew nothing about a leash and only wanted to find the quickest exit in the yard. Now, in just a week, she is a happy go-lucky girl. She has settled into the yard, and is best pals with the other foster dogs. She will spend ... (Read More)hours romping around and posturing in her silly downward dog play behavior. She sleeps in the kennel at night without a hitch. She may bark once to be let out, but even that has improved. She loved going on her first walk through the neighborhood! She had the other resident dog to follow, and teach her that going for an 'outing' brought many rewards. She could smell the grass, explore new surroundings, and meet new dogs on her route. And the car, another new experience as well! What started as her hiding underneath the seat has now transformed to sitting confidently next to the toddler's car seat; begging for goldfish no less. Being a hound, she is a family dog, and loves being with her people. She will follow you around the house waiting patiently for you to acknowledge her. Binka will make a great family pet and would probably benefit from a home where there is another dog, or at least a family that is home most of the time. I love my grandma but we live with another family that has cats and i can't run around but for a few a hours a day. i spend alot of time with my brothers in a large kennel, BUT I'm housebroken! Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
