Animal ID: 38559Missie (female)
Hello, my name is Missie and I am a cute female Puggle looking for a new family to love and care for me. I was surrendered to the shelter as I need a fenced yard. I am approximately 5 years old. I have lived with female dogs and fowl. I have not lived with children. I am crate trained and housebroken. I will wait at the door to let you know I have to go outside. I was primarily an indoor member of the family, but enjoy outdoor adventures as well. I am described as active, calm, cuddly, and friendly. My previous owner stated that I love car ride adventures and lying in laps watching television. I slept with my owner every night. And I am a curious girl who loves to explore. Please come visit me today in Kennel 13 at the Kitsap Humane Society, see website, http://www.kitsap-humane.org/adoption-guide, for information regarding adoption. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-19-00151Heaven (female)
The story of Heaven is a sad one... But we know it will have the happiest of endings! Dumped on a street corner, Heaven stayed on that corner for 4 days waiting patiently for her people to come back, even through thunderstorms. She was spotted by a concerned citizen and brought to the Liberty, Tx shelter. Even though she was shy and scared, she was an instant hit with everyone who met her as she was so very sweet. The shelter staff shared her, and begged for her life to be saved. One rescue heard their pleas and stepped forward. Now Heaven is in a loving foster home, and ready for adoption in the Pacific Northwest! She is crate, potty, house and leash trained. Is a pro with a doggie door. She gets along great with other doggies of all ages and sizes. She loves to snuggle, give kisses, get belly rubs, play tug o war/wrestle with her foster fur siblings. Has no known fears, loves to be groomed, did awesome at the vets office. She is medium to high energy, and will need a family preferably with other doggie siblings that has the love, patience, understanding, and where with all to continue both her basic and house manners training. She will provide a family with lots of love, laughter, devotion, and companionship! If you are interested in adopting the lovely Heaven, please submit an adoption application soon. Something tells me she will be adopted quickly, she is just that special!!! Adoption fee $350 to cover airfare from TX to Seattle. Request your app now so we can schedule a meet and greet! (Less)

Animal ID: STO-719Libby (female)
Please contact Paula (email@example.com) for more information about this pet. Lucky, (a Llasa Apso) and Libby (a puggle) tragically ended up in rescue when their owner died suddeny, leaving behind these two beautiful dogs. Lucky is 6 years old; Libby is 5. They will be a wonderful family addition; their prior household included a 12 year old child who adored them. Lucky arrived looking quite the mess, though. In the recent turmoil in his life, no one bothered to brush him and groom him. We couldn't even determine what breed he was: he looked like a dirty dust mop:) Thankfully, one of the groomers at our adoption partner Petco, took little Lucky, disappeared into the grooming salon, and presto! ;A beautiful silky-coated dog appeared, with long golden hair. What a handsome boy! and a busy one! Even though Lucky is 6 years old, he's busy, busy. Always on the go. If you're looking for a lap dog, forget about this one. He has places to go, people to see. He loves people. Libby, the Puggle, loves to chew on bones and rawhides. She holds them carefully between her paws, concentrating very hard on the task at hand. After all, it's 'finders, keepers' in the play yard when a new cripsy chew toy is discovered. Both dogs have been spayed/neutered and are current on their vaccinations (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-20-00006Sandy (female)
Hello, I'm a sweet little girl waiting for my forever home Sandy is just a sweet and playful girl! She and Jacobii are good buddies, she loves to hang out with him ;) Sandy would love an active family, she would be an excellent hiking, biking and walking dog. She has a sweet and gentle heart, is good with other dogs and good with cats. Sandy sure wants to live somewhere that she will be loved forever, she has beautiful gold eyes to match her coat :) she is about 6 months old and sweet as pie!! She is 28# right now and may grow to be 35-40#. I believe she is a beagle/yellow lab mix, she is gorgeous and I caught pictures of her amber/golden eyes!! **$350 adoption fee for puppies and dogs under 1 year The adoption fee includes transport fees to the NW and vaccines. Our dogs come up pre adopted, with of course a 10 day trial period just in case. No one has returned a puppy but we want an excellent fit. If you have never had a very young puppy we will ask you to seek out older puppies, we will not adopt a very young puppy to someone inexperienced with young puppies. You need to be at home enough to care for and socialize a young puppy. We will not adopt out a dog that will be crated while you are at work full time. Thank you (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-04-00590Lylah (female)
Lylah needs a playmate!! This adorable 1-2 yr old, 35lb girl has come a very long way in the last few months. When she first arrived, she was extremely fearful of other dogs but now... LOVES to spend her time romping through the yard and wrestling with a select few other dogs. With just a few minutes of proper introduction, this girl can be a wonderful playmate for any male or female dog her size or just a bit bigger. Lylah is also the ultimate love-bug! After a good round of play outside... or long walk/hike, she's ready to come home and cuddle up for a nap. She's very smart and always eager to learn more commands, manners and tricks so will thrive in a home that has time to help her become an even better, well trained girl. She's awesome with people so an active home with kids over 12yrs old would be great. She must have a fenced backyard and another dog with which to play.... but no cats for this girl. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Washington
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
