Animal ID: Walker (male)
Meet Walker! He is a sweet fun 2 year old 15 pound male, Dachshund Beagle Chihuahua. His adoption fee is $495.00 and his proceeds will go towards veterinary expenses for other 6dogrees Rescue dogs. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate 501c3 (non-profit charitable organization) that functions solely on the support of volunteers. Walker is medium energy, healthy, loving and likes people. Walker is seeking a routine home that can give him daily long walks, and play with him. His ideal home will let him sleep on the bed and be on the couch. Walker loves spending time with his people walks well on a leash. Walker was rescued on his very last day at a high kill shelter in CA. He would do great in a easy going home. A adult only or dog respectful children over 12 years of age. He loves to be with people and would make an excellent companion dog. His coat is a smooth tri-color white, brown and black. Grooming requirements are low maintenance. Regular brushing, and routine nail trims every 4-6 weeks. Before applying please do the research on how to prepare for a dog. We recommend that you have everything in place prior to bringing home a dog i.e. crate, pee pads, food, puppy sitter etc. Leaving a dog home for 8 hours per day will not work without someone to help care for the dog. Rescue dogs should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. An APPLICATION must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. A application can be submitted at www.6dogrees.com. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check and references required prior to adoption approval. The adoption fee includes: neuter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, and bordatella) plus de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. The fee also supports costs for various necessary vet care including special surgeries, quality grain free food, general supplies, grooming, boarding, health certificate and transport cost from California to Seattle. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. All dogs are home fostered in the Seattle area by volunteers. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we save it forward; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-28-00028Mikey (male)
Mikey is a sweet blue bully boy. He loves, loves, everyone! He's good with small dogs and kids but he's pretty heavy so probably not a great fit with really small kids. He likes to walk on his back legs...yes, he does the Dobby walk. Is this the family member you've been missing? He is currenlty in So Cal but is looking for the home anywhere on the west coast!!

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-27-00308Tera (female)
Tera is already spayed, house-trained, in need of an experienced dog owner, up to date with shots, not good with other dogs or with cats. Tera likes to play! Tera's about 18mo old and weighs about 40-45lbs. It was clear when we got her that she had not been socialized well as a puppy. Tara can only be with very mellow, neutral dogs, but no other dogs in the home is best. No dog park for this girl. Please tell us about yourself when you request an application

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Washington
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
