Rescue Me ID: 14-08-27-00032Ember (female)
Please meet Ember, a two year old female Doxi/Beagle Mix. Ember wants nothing more than to please and be loved. She has the body of a Doxi but the face of a Beagle with adorable floppy ears. She is very sweet and very mellow but will get really excited when she is able to sit on your lap and get love. She will do her own thing. She can be a bit territorial so she would do better with a home with no kids, cats or other dogs. Ember is a bit weary of strangers and can be aggressive as most doxies' are. She tends to get stressed when her environment changes, so she will need a bit of love and TLC when you take her home. The staff at the Rescue love her, and as soon as she warms up to you she wins you over. Ember needs a loving person who can work with her calmly but firmly in a stable environment, someone with dog experience that will take the time to 'win' her over and teach her to trust and relax. She is a sweet, playful little girl she just needs the right person to make her feel comfortable. If you have room in your heart and home for this wonderful girl please contact us for a meet and greet at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our adoption facility is located at 2905 Marvin Rd NE Lacey WA Ember's adoption fee is $225. She is spayed, up-to-date with vaccines and micro chipped. (Less)

He is a wonderful dog. I got him when I was 18 have had since he was a pup but he had to move in with family and was not treated the way he should have. I lived in an apartment that wouldn't allow pets and in may he moved back in with me but unfortunately due to personal family reasons we have to move to florida and we can't take him with. He is loving and just wants to cuddle, he loves walks.

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-19-00151Heaven (female)
The story of Heaven is a sad one... But we know it will have the happiest of endings! Dumped on a street corner, Heaven stayed on that corner for 4 days waiting patiently for her people to come back, even through thunderstorms. She was spotted by a concerned citizen and brought to the Liberty, Tx shelter. Even though she was shy and scared, she was an instant hit with everyone who met her as she was so very sweet. The shelter staff shared her, and begged for her life to be saved. One rescue heard their pleas and stepped forward. Now Heaven is in a loving foster home, and ready for adoption in the Pacific Northwest! She is crate, potty, house and leash trained. Is a pro with a doggie door. She gets along great with other doggies of all ages and sizes. She loves to snuggle, give kisses, get belly rubs, play tug o war/wrestle with her foster fur siblings. Has no known fears, loves to be groomed, did awesome at the vets office. She is medium to high energy, and will need a family preferably with other doggie siblings that has the love, patience, understanding, and where with all to continue both her basic and house manners training. She will provide a family with lots of love, laughter, devotion, and companionship! If you are interested in adopting the lovely Heaven, please submit an adoption application soon. Something tells me she will be adopted quickly, she is just that special!!! Adoption fee $350 to cover airfare from TX to Seattle. Request your app now so we can schedule a meet and greet! (Less)

Animal ID: STO-719Libby (female)
Please contact Paula (email@example.com) for more information about this pet. Lucky, (a Llasa Apso) and Libby (a puggle) tragically ended up in rescue when their owner died suddeny, leaving behind these two beautiful dogs. Lucky is 6 years old; Libby is 5. They will be a wonderful family addition; their prior household included a 12 year old child who adored them. Lucky arrived looking quite the mess, though. In the recent turmoil in his life, no one bothered to brush him and groom him. We couldn't even determine what breed he was: he looked like a dirty dust mop:) Thankfully, one of the groomers at our adoption partner Petco, took little Lucky, disappeared into the grooming salon, and presto! ;A beautiful silky-coated dog appeared, with long golden hair. What a handsome boy! and a busy one! Even though Lucky is 6 years old, he's busy, busy. Always on the go. If you're looking for a lap dog, forget about this one. He has places to go, people to see. He loves people. Libby, the Puggle, loves to chew on bones and rawhides. She holds them carefully between her paws, concentrating very hard on the task at hand. After all, it's 'finders, keepers' in the play yard when a new cripsy chew toy is discovered. Both dogs have been spayed/neutered and are current on their vaccinations (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Washington
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
