We brought Clyde home from the shelter where we were told he and Bonnie along with a few others they've not caught yet, were allegedly turned out by their owner. They either don't hunt anymore or he just didn't want to deal with them anymore. Oh my goodnes, Clyde is the sweetest little old man I've every met. I'm sure he has some health issues as Bonnie did when she went to the vet on Friday. Clyde goes next week for his check up and am sure at the very least he will be lymes positive like Bonnie. He was covered in ticks when he came in, and who knows how long he's been on his own. We will get him back in shape and put a little needed weight ... (Read More)on this 15 to 18 pound boy. PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in West Virginia
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in West Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
