Beagle    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Gloria is a very sweet old girl. In her previous life she was used for breeding and was dropped off at the humane society since she could no longer reproduce. She was then adopted and since then, Gloria has really enjoyed playing with other dogs, taking naps in the sun, going for walks, and going for car rides. She is a very laid back couch potato, perfect for a family who is around a lot, or a retired person looking for a companion. Gloria is a very low matinence girl and does not require a lot of attention, although she loves a good ear rub every once in a while!

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-28-00510Buddy (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Buddy is a sweet, energetic boy we adopted from Eastshore Humane Society about 7 years ago. He's somewhat suspicious of men, and doesn't like sudden noises like fly swatters. He's been very unhappy since my husband and I divorced and my daughter and I moved back to the city. He needs someone who has the time and attention he so desperately craves, and we want that for him.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Wisconsin
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
