Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Looking for the perfect fit for our 5 year old Puggle. Max is a lover and is most happy when cuddling with you in the couch or in bed. He does have allergies(we are not sure to what) that he takes a daily pill for. They cost about $25 a month. I think Max would do best with someone that is home a lot. We are on the go a lot with kids activities as they get older and he is not doing well with this. He is not as happy as he deserves to be. I just really want what's best for him and I believe that is to find the perfect home for him.

Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Max is around 7-8 years old. We rescued him when he was just a pup. Our kids are older and not around for him & we work longer hours. Max has some anxiety when people knock at the door & when strangers approach the house. He needs to grasp or bite on something (not people usually). We have a 5 yr old that likes to paw at him & he is tolerant of her. Nor does he nip at us when we reach for his food or snacks. He likes to snuggle in bed with us & is loveable but not a licker nor does he jump up on people. He does pee in the house when he's mad at us for not being there for him. Otherwise he does do a little ... (Read More)dance when he needs to go outside. Max has had just a few seizures that we know of but we haven't seen it happen in over a year. He also had infections in 1 ear, but that hasn't reappeared in well over a year either. MAX JUST NEEDS A FAMILY OR ELDERLY COUPLE THAT HAS MORE TIME FOR HIM. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-24-01402Duncan (male)

Beagle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Duncan is super sweet and came to a shelter in NC as a stray. He was on the euthanasia list and Fetch was able to step in and save him a few days before his time was up. He loves people and attention, and does well with other dogs. He will make a great companion. From his foster: 'Duncan has been making excellent progress. We figured out his potty schedule, and he hasn't had an accident in a whole month! (it was rare for him to have an accident before, but it is good to get it completely ironed out). He has developed a particular fondness for snuggles, kisses, and hugs from his foster mommy. He also likes to keep her company as she ... (Read More)works in her sewing room, quietly sitting in the corner and wagging his tail happily when she looks his way. He and his foster sister, Mona, playfully chase each other around the backyard. They will run laps together for endless amounts of time. When Mona catches him, he simply jumps right over her. His agility is incredible. The shelter thought Duncan was a lab/rottweiler, but after some more research, we believe he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (probably mixed with beagle or boxer, which is why is he so small).' (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Wisconsin
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
