Rescue Me ID: 14-07-16-00773Carter (male)
Carter is a neutered male Puggle. We rescued him in August 2008. The vet estimated him at approximately 1 year old at that time. He has come a long way since 2008. He had been tied to a vet clinic door and left there. You could tell he had been abused. Carter has had a difficult time trying to adjust to our son who is 3 years old. Carter did bite once when our son had hit him repeatedly before we could stop him he bit his arm. Carter is a great loving dog and very loyal. He needs a family that will love him and doesn't have young kids.

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-05-00193Louie (male)
ADOPTION PENDING - Hi Everybody! My name is Louie and I have a sad story to tell you. I'm homeless because my human dad passed away suddenly, and my human mom had a stroke soon after that. up being left alone all day in their empty apartment (without even any furniture) and--while someone came by to walk me and feed me a couple of times a day--I grew really lonely. Finally, the people who were feeding me thought it would be best if a rescue could find me a new home, so that's what my situation is. My rescue mom thinks I'm a mix of Beagle/Corgi/Sheltie. Thankfully, I don't bark like a Beagle, but I have a easy-going personality--and I have kind of a 'Beagle' look about me, don't you think? Oh! I almost forgot to mention: I have the cutest little stubby tail that wags so fast that it makes my whole rear end wiggle when I'm happy! I weigh about 25 lbs. (OK....I admit I could stand to lose a couple of pounds), I'm about three years old, and I'm well housebroken, friendly, and very healthy. I'm fine with other dogs but I really wouldn't mind being your 'one and only'. My foster mom would prefer that I not be a latchkey dog, though. (So, an adopter who is works just part time, is retired, or works out of his/her home would be perfect for me.) I'm good with children but my foster mom worries that younger kids might inadvertently scare or hurt me, so she would prefer that I not be adopted by a family with children under 12 years of age. I've been neutered, immunized, heartworm tested, and microchipped--so now I'm ready for my new family to take me home. My adoption fee is $275 which--when you consider the fact that I'm totally vetted and ready to go--is a really good deal, don't you think? If you believe we'd be a good match for each other, please write to my foster mom at: email@example.com and tell her a little about yourself, your schedule, if you have other pets and/or a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing), etc. Then, if she feels you would be the right adopter for me, she will e-mail you an adoption application to fill out so that she can contact the references you provide. After that, we can meet in person and--if things look promising--she will arrange a home visit prior to your adopting me. I can't wait to be part of a real family again. I miss my human mom and dad so much! Even though I'm not a fluffy little puppy (which it seems as though everyone is looking to adopt these days) I hope you'll consider adopting me! I guarantee I'll be your faithful, loving companion and your very best friend forever. - Love, Louie. NOTE: We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, so they are not available for a meet-and-greet until you have given us some information about yourself. Following that, if we all agree that you would be a good match for this dog (and vice versa) we will send you an adoption application to fill out and submit. (Less)

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] I'm very cuddly and very sweet. My parents will be moving into an apartment so they want me to have space to run and play.

Animal ID: 210Rosie (female)
Rosie is an 9 year old Spayed Female Beagle who has allergies and needs to be on medication for her quality of life. She does have a healthy appitite and loves to go for walks. Rosie likes calm homes so small children all the time is not ideal. Cats are fine and other calm dogs are fine too. Please contact me for a private meet and greet or home inspection for Rosie.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Wisconsin
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
