Rescue Me ID: 17-12-08-00256Rosa (female)

Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Rosa appeared near some houses in the Greek countryside, most likely abandoned because she did not perform as a hunter (very common in Greece). A woman living at one of the houses tied her up for fear she would bother their chickens and be shot by her husband. Since I live in that area, I went to check for a microchip (by law all dogs in Greece are required to be chipped, but it rarely happens). She had no chip, and was being kept constantly tied. I arranged for sterilisation and after for a foster home. She is a lovely dog, now accustomed to living in a house. For adoption in the UK, the passport and transport fee will need to be paid ... (Read More)by the adopting person. I have no affiliation with a shelter or charity and I cannot pay these fees. I simply want to help Rosa find a good home. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Beagle in Greece
Beagle Dogs can make good pets in Greece if they match your IifestyIe. Beagles are small, energetic hounds with sweet, happy dispositions. Beagles make wonderful family pets. Beagles need to be with people and do not like to be left alone; it is a good idea to have more than one dog if you will be away often. Beagles are great with children but do not do well with cats and other household animals unless they are around them from the time they are puppies. A Beagle needs a decent sized yard to play in and needs lots of exercise. Beagles may wander off easily if not kept on a leash.
